The guy she picked was the one I would have picked as well. The big reveal came out of nowhere for me. I'm just as surprised as Tally and would be angry as well. That is until I calmed down from the shock.
I wouldn't be surprised if another couple sprouted out of everything that happened. There were hints that it should happen.
