Meh. That's how I felt about this book.
It was good. I didn't race home to read it nor did I skimp on doing the dishes for an hour or two just so I could sit down and read. Maybe it was the cover that scared me off. I'm sorry but the lettering reminds me of Dirty Dancing in the 80's. Even the movie was meh to me while almost everyone else liked it.
I wasn't interested in the romance part of the book. What hooked me was the storyline involving the missing women and who the culprit could be. By the way, I figured that out as soon as he appeared. His reason for doing it was a bit of a disappointment to me. It felt so predictable.
I'm going to give the next book a try. While the first book didn't grab me all that much, I took the time to process the world building that was involved so why not see what else happens.
Yeah, I blame Dirty Dancing for the 3 stars. ;)
